Tina Fellows retired just before Christmas after 21 years of service. Tina joined R J Patchett Ltd, in the days long before Patchett Homes and Patchett Joinery, and became an instant hit on the reception desk, the welcoming, cheery voice on the end of the phone. Tina has always had the knack of making people feel they were being listened to and that their problems would be sorted out without delay.
In the days before emails, there were lots of letters to be sent out and Tina was brilliant at reading my scruffy notes, written on the backs of envelopes and other scraps and transforming them into something meaningful.
Moving from reception to the rent desk and coping superbly with new technology and software, Tina has always been willing to adapt, the girl Friday in the office, always kind, considerate and a very loyal friend.
After 21 years, I will, we will, all miss her smile and wish her a long, healthy and happy retirement with her family.
