We are delighted to share our involvement in this fantastic achievement.
Richard Dawson, the architect, is particularly knowledgeable about sustainability issues. Like us, creating buildings which are warm and energy efficient with low running costs is his passion.
This grade 2 listed restoration truly ticks all the boxes and has been sensitively achieved using traditional eco-friendly materials whilst cleverly combining modern technologies.
Richards experience in architecture and planning makes him no stranger to awards. He specialises across schemes in Conservation Areas and National Parks, and we have been lucky enough to work with him on several projects.
Our Accoya sliding sash windows are finished in Hardwick White. We used 4/8/4 Pilkington S1 glass together with our 19mm astragal bar.
The door design matches the original and is finished in a darker colour than the windows to match Treron.
Accoya is the perfect natural building material to manufacture from. Combining sustainability, renewability, strength, beauty, carbon sink ability without the downfalls of inconsistent quality, poor durability, and stability.
This revolutionary material is CO2 neutral over the full life cycle, which can be easily recycled to the highest quality exterior boards. A material that even if just discarded is 100% biodegradable, fitting perfectly in the biological cycle of the circular economy and Cradle to Cradle (C2C) philosophy.
It comes as no surprise that great architects and designers like Richard are specifying windows and doors to be manufactured from 100% accoya making the circular biobased economy a reality.
