Bespoke Timber Windows for Sykes House

Bespoke Timber Windows

Undergoing home improvement works by a local contractor, Patchett Joinery was asked to supply a mixture of our vertical sliding sash and casement windows for this traditional Yorkshire stone building located in Leeming, Oxenhope. Overlooking the reservoir, it was quickly apparent that high performance windows are a must in this exposed location.

After discussing the requirements of the home owner, we agreed to manufacture the bespoke timber windows from clear faced engineered Red Grandis, with a light oak stained finish. Clear faced timber was specified to avoid the unsightly finger joints found with engineered timber. Due to the nature of the property, premium quality hardware was specified, along with the wish to have a traditional stained glass window encapsulated. Encapsulation ensures the decorative glass is retained, while achieving high thermal performance from a double glazed unit.

The home owner is delighted with the quality and service of all involved and has noticed a huge difference in heating the house since the new windows were installed.
