1) What type of wood do you use?
We are proud that we only use sustainable timber and environmentally-friendly processes to minimise our impact on the natural environment. The most durable of our timbers is Accoya (modified timber) from New Zealand, which is considered as a Class 1 (very durable) type of timber, offering improved stability and reduced maintenance costs.
Weuse Red Grandis (hardwood), which is quite durable like Accoya, ensuring high performance, as well as Engineered Redwood (softwood).

3) What ironmongery do you offer for your sash windows?
Hardware options for sash windows are the following:
- Traditional sash lifts and sash eyes available in a large range of colour options.
- Vent lock – these devices provide additional security and peace of mind in that the window cannot be opened more than 100mm without them being removed.
- Angel lock – as with the vent lock, this device limits the travel of the sash. The advantage is, when the sash is subsequently closed, the device resets. When the sash is next opened, the restrictor stops the movement of the sash more than 100mm.
4) What different glass options do you offer?
All our windows are glazed with our high-performance glazing system. They are all internally beaded, which offer the advantage of greater security and ease of maintenance for your home. Planitherm Total+ is our standard low-emissivity glass, which offers enhanced thermal performance and reduction in heating bills, compared to the traditional single and double-glazing.
5) How long is your lead time?
All our timber windows and doors are made to order. We do not keep stock so our lead time for supply-only is approximately 6-8 weeks and for supply and fit, 10-12 weeks.
6) What if I live in a listed building/conservation area?
We recommend checking with your local authority before proceeding with any work on a listed building. We’re always here to help and discuss your personal requirements.
7) What kinds of guarantee do you offer for your sash windows?
Our focus is manufacturing products to the highest standard using the materials that best meet our customers’ needs. In terms of guarantees, we offer a 10-year warranty on paint finish, hardware, glazing unit and weather seals. We also offer a 30-year guarantee on preservative.
