Patchett Joinery have recently completed a timber sliding sash window installation at Manor Farm, Shiptonthorpe, York.

The brief was to replace the draughty single glazed windows with new double glazed sliding sash windows and improve the efficiency of their home. To complete the installation, the client wanted new architraves to match those of the existing.

Janine Roberts, who managed the sale from enquiry to order, discussed the various options with the client, including timber choice, hardware and glass specifications along with the window design for the property. After a factory tour, which enabled the clients to view similar products on the production line, Patchett Joinery was the preferred choice for the project.

The clients decided on our concealed balance sliding sash window manufactured from hardwood. The new fenestration was to be finished in White, with premium quality British manufactured polished chrome hardware from Croft, along with Angel travel restrictors to limit the opening for safety.

The project was completed in two phases, with the final installation completed in July 2016.

Shane Kenny, who headed up the fitting team for the installation added ”The Installation went very well. The bespoke architrave really finishes the windows off nicely. I enjoy working on projects where you know the client will be able to enjoy the benefits of our products for years to come.”
