Waterhouse Charitable Homes, Halifax – Timber Stormproof Windows

Patchett Joinery were delighted to be awarded the contract of supplying fully finished timber stormproof windows and doorsets to Waterhouse Charitable Homes located in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

The contract was over various phases, with final deliveries completed in January 2016.

The brief was to replace all single glazed fenestration with that of hi-performing double glazed windows, while retaining the aesthetic appearance of the original windows.

Our high performance stormproof window was the window of choice, offering excellent thermal performance combined with the narrow glazing bars and sight lines, replicating original detail.

Inward opening entrance doors with part M compliant thresholds were specified for the communal entrances.

The windows were manufactured from engineered softwood and the doors from Red Grandis.

The products were finished in Ivory, with door leaves finished in Boat House Blue providing a beautiful appearance.

With U values better than building regulations, we hope the residents are enjoying the benefits of the new windows and doors.
