If you’re specifying an external door for a traditional property then timber stable doors are an excellent choice. Stable doors provide a charming entrance to a home and the style make them ideally suited for older properties with character including barn conversions, cottages and terraces.
Using only a water-based painting system which allows timber to “breathe” and adapt to climatic changes, our finishes provide maximum protection against weathering, fungal attack and UV degradation. The water-based application significantly reduces harmful emissions and disposal issues associated with solvent based systems.
Working with our paint partner, Sikkens, we can finish in any RAL colour, stain, or match against all well known paint ranges and brands. With the ability to have different internal and external finishes, your windows and doors can be finished just as you require.
Our factory is audited quarterly to ensure that the finished product has the highest quality paint finish and performance you would expect.
Our Timber Stable Doors benefit from espagnolette locking as standard to secure the door, the top leaf can also be operated independently from the bottom by an internal thumb turn with integrated shoot bolt, enabling this classic door design to benefit from modern security hardware. Stable doors are hung on fully adjustable 3D hinges and fitted with lever handles.
As with all our products in our door range, two tone finish is available with oiled hardwood cills as standard. A full range of hardware, glass and insulated panel options enable the door to be specified to each individual need. Please see individual items for further options.
We recommend using engineered hardwood or Accoya for our external doors, to combat seasonal movement.
Our section drawing is available to download, providing both inward and outward opening solutions.
